This is the type of discussion that is way, way above the head of someone like Al Drake, Just Me and 12 beer Vinny.

This discussion was started by the former head of software engineering for CNC Software which produces Mastercam. He worked for them for 8 years. As many know, I'm a very strong critic of Mastercam and the major reason why is they continue to refuse to do what their former head of software engineering wanted them to do.

Right now CADCAM programming is very inefficient. The reason it's inefficient can be found in this link and other links that branch off of it. This is the type of discussion that cannot be found anywhere else on the Internet, in pay for play advertising based metalworking magazines, or on advertising driven internet CADCAM forums like Practically Worthless Machinist or CNC Advertising Zone.

There is simply nothing like my LinkedIn group, CADCAM Technology Leaders, anywhere else. It's membership reads like a who's who of the CADCAM business.

Some people in the CADCAM business realize that things have to change and that pay for play CADCAM magazines and advertising based internet CADCAM forums are old school and aren't effective:

And just how did you arrive at that conclusion you arrogant pile of goat turds.
Because I haven't joined your little LinkedIn club?

As a matter of fact, I have written and successfully marketed software for use
in machine shops. Including code creating software.

What have you written? What CAD/CAM do you use, sorry let me rephrase that,
what CAD/CAM CAN you use.?

Sorry, I keep forgetting you can't code.
You just parrot phrases hoping to sound knowledgeable.

I was going to wish you a happy Hanukkah but you're not worth it.

A few years ago I wrote a prelude to why you can't have powerful, efficient CAM, without making better use of geometry data. No matter what the cost, CAM doesn't use geometry data to the extent that it should use it:
