Hi
We have a punch with a Westinghouse "producer2" CNC ... and after a move
to a new location its a bit broken. We cant get the executive program to
load.
Normally, we initiate the load sequence and get on the display "0000" in
the address register and "0FFF" in the SWREG, dump the executive into the
serial port and it all gets loaded into memory. ... but we're getting "####"
in the address register and "FFAC" in the SWREG which looks like some
sort of checksum error to me, as a result we never even get to the
'loading the executive' stag, ... im guessing the
bootstrap loader is in some way hosed, or the target memory. Either way,
we can't load the executive.
Anybody got any experience of these machines? Or better still anyone in
the UK got a PULSA8 punch they want to come and play board-swap with to help us
find the dodgy board? Or a Westinghouse Producer 2 CNC boardset they no
longer need ...??
Failing that ... its going to be a retrofit. Looks like theres a milliona
and one IO lines though ho hum, thats going to be not fun to sort out. oh
no.
